Infill and subdivision cannot be done with a one-size-fits-all approach. Each neighbourhood must be treated individually with the engagement of citizens.
To densify, we must incorporate the regeneration of neighbourhoods while ensuring current residents continue to enjoy their homes.
Subdivision is one tool of many to densify our City but may not be the primary method for every neighbourhood. We must ensure when subdivision makes sense that we evaluate infrastructure, such as sewer and power, to ensure it can handle the increased loads.
As Councillor, I will advocate for responsible development that allows each neighbourhood to be treated individually.
